- Certificate Acquisition for Ship Safety
- Panstar has obtained various essential certificates from local maritime and fisheries offices and Korean Register in accordance with international agreements for safe ship operation and marine pollution prevention, and maintains qualifications through regular inspections.
- ISM Code Certificate Acquisition
- For safe ship operation, Panstar obtained the Document of Compliance (DOC) and Ship Safety Management Certificate (SMC) according to the International Safety Management Code (ISM Code) in 1998, and has maintained certification qualifications by receiving regular audits on safe ship operation from Korean Register (KR).
Ship Safety Management
- Accident-Free Operation
- Panstar not only manages ships based on professional land personnel, but also records accident-free operations by complying with international agreements (SOLAS 1974, MARPOL 1973, etc.) based on excellent crew members.
- Passenger Ship Maintenance and Inspection
- Panstar conducts maintenance and inspection of all passenger ships once a year after dry docking at shipyards.
- Port State Control
- Panstar's ships are recognized for their safety through regular and spot inspections conducted by Korean and Japanese port states at least 4 times a year.
- Onboard Facilities and Cargo Securing
- All facilities within Panstar vessels are secured to ensure passenger safety without shaking even under weather influences, and movable objects are safely secured and regularly patrolled.
Ship Fire and Safety Equipment Systems
- Fire Equipment
- A Fire Detection System is established in all areas of the ship to detect fires, and various fixed/mobile fire suppression equipment is equipped for quick and effective fire suppression.
- Life Saving Equipment
- Panstar's ships are equipped with sufficient life-saving equipment to accommodate all passengers in case of emergency, and are managed through regular inspections.
- Navigation Equipment
- The Integrated Bridge System (IBS) is installed to enhance the safety and efficiency of navigation.
Emergency Response
- Emergency Response Training
- Panstar is committed to ensuring passenger safety through regular training of crew members for all emergency situations in accordance with the International Safety Management Code (ISM Code).
- Emergency Response System
- Panstar passenger ships are equipped with the Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS) that can notify land of distress and receive appropriate support using radio and satellite equipment in case of emergency at sea.
